Baltimore Local Currency Design Contest : Enter Now!

The Baltimore Green Currency Association hosted an informational booth at Hampdenfest this year, launching the design contest of Baltimore's very first local currency. Artists are encouraged to submit a candidate design for the BNote by November 11th, 2010. Submission details can be found at the website listed below.

The BNote buzz keeps growing, but what's up with the new Baltimore currency, and how will it benefit the city?
Part of its mission is to establish an alternative economy that will strengthen local business, create jobs, and ultimately, provide economic opportunity to communities facing poverty and the dire effects of this ongoing crisis.

If you're interested in learning more, head over to Breathe Books in Hampden on October 4th at 7pm. Jeff Dicken and Michael Rigby, founders of the association, will be showing a few short videos and discussing Social Business, the BNote, answering questions, and asking for your feedback. Here's an opportunity to shape the city's new currency. It's your money, your way.
