“The idea behind this submission is entitled ‘Getting There.’ It depicts the ways America aimed for expansion from discovery forward. The first bill depicts the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria, the second the use of covered wagons in westward expansion. Additional security features include thermal ink on the large numbers that are visible through the bill with reversed image on the other side.
